Craig Bromell

Craig Bromell is a seasoned labour leader, current President of the all trades Building Union of Canada (BUC), and former President of the Toronto Police Association, one of Canada’s largest public safety unions. Over the course of his career, he has represented thousands of police officers and civilian employees, leading collective bargaining negotiations and advocating on issues ranging from workplace safety to public sector labour policy.

During his tenure as President, Bromell played a key role in negotiating complex labour agreements with the City of Toronto, navigating the intersection of municipal governance, public safety operations, and union representation. His leadership required balancing the needs of frontline workers with the operational and fiscal realities of large urban institutions.

Bromell has extensive experience in labour relations, dispute resolution, and public advocacy. He is known for his ability to operate in high-pressure environments, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and communicate effectively across labour, government, and the public.
