Tony Fanelli

Tony Fanelli is one of North America’s leading labour relations experts, with more than three decades of experience in labour strategy, human resources, and construction management across major infrastructure and industrial projects. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Construction Labour Relations Association of Ontario (CLRAO), where he leads province-wide collective bargaining and labour relations strategy for the unionized construction sector.

Fanelli has held senior labour relations roles with global engineering and construction firms including Bechtel, Fluor, and SNC-Lavalin. Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in negotiating complex project labour agreements across sectors such as energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and heavy industry.

His experience includes managing labour frameworks for large-scale projects across Canada and the United States, as well as leading sensitive negotiations with First Nations communities to support project development across diverse jurisdictions.

At Union Global, Fanelli provides deep expertise in labour–management relations, workforce coordination, and the operational realities of large-scale project execution. His understanding of how labour is structured and deployed within complex infrastructure environments is critical to scaling coordinated workforce solutions.
