Tony Fanelli

Tony Fanelli is a Director of Union Global and President of Union Work Force, the platform’s signatory-contractor operating company that creates, protects, and expands opportunities for unionized workers.

Fanelli is one of North America’s leading labour relations experts, with more than three decades of experience in labour strategy, human resources, and construction management across major infrastructure and industrial projects. He has led province-wide collective bargaining and labour relations strategy for Ontario’s unionized industrial, commercial, and institutional construction sector, including senior leadership at the Construction Labour Relations Association of Ontario (CLRAO).

He has held senior labour relations roles with global engineering and construction firms including Bechtel, Fluor, and SNC-Lavalin. Throughout his career, he has been directly involved in negotiating complex project labour agreements across energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, and heavy industry, managing labour frameworks for large-scale projects across Canada and the United States, and working with First Nations communities on project labour frameworks.

As President of Union Work Force, Fanelli leads commercial and labour strategy for the signatory-contractor model — bringing work to the hiring hall, delivering scopes under collective agreements, and building toward a connected workforce ecosystem. As a Director of Union Global, he contributes deep expertise in labour–management relations, workforce coordination, and the operational realities of large-scale project execution.
